Coming together from diverse backgrounds and experiences, our team is the backbone of Van Moorhouse Foundation. We are run by a board of Trustees, Advisors and Volunteers. Their ideas help shape the direction and mission of our organization as it continues to develop.
Vanessa O. Moorhouse
Founder
Inspired by a trip she took to Ghana. Vanessa founded non profit organisation Van Moorhouse Foundation. It works to provide daily necessities such as clothing, food, educational materials, and free medical screening for underserved communities especially in Ghana.Vanessa lives in Sheffield,England and works for private energy company, enjoys travelling , reading, music, and playing volley ball. She believes in a world of inclusion,very passionate about enhancing lives, determined to make a difference and devoted to serving humanity to make the world a better place.
David E.A. Moorhouse

Experienced, trustworthy, fun. These are just a few of the ways to describe this invaluable member of our team. David is truly a joy to be around and makes it a pleasure to work with, he lives in Sheffield, England, and brings years of experience and skills in helping grow the VMF. David has over 30 years experience in business development, now retired, he is using that experience for the good of the charity.
Annette Sedegah

Annette lives in London,England, she's a nutritionist, married with three children. Her passion is to bring hope to the hopeless and her aspirations is to make a difference in VMF by going the extra mile to assist in achieving the charity's aims and objectives. Originally from Ghana, Annette wants to help and assist those who are less fortunate than some in society by supporting us in anyway she can.
Naomi Barkey Davies

Mrs Davies is an IT Auditor. She lives in New Jersey, USA. She is passionate about humanitarian and philanthropy work. Her hope and aspiration, is to help grow VMF in terms of finding new innovative ways, to raise funds to support VMF projects and programs for people living in impoverish communities in Ghana.
Berikisu Osman

Bilkis, as she likes to be called, is an investment accountant who lives in Pennsylvania, USA. She loves reading, volunteering and cooking. Bilkis joined us with the vision and drive to help our Nonprofit Organization, and is a pillar in the foundation representing VMF in the USA.
Nana K Gyan

Nana Kofi Gyan is NKG Sports CEO, he is also executive board member for Refugees Alliance Network USA, Royal Sport and Performing Art Foundation (Ghana), S&G International, a FIFA intermediary , USA youth soccer coach and educator. Fii lives in Virginia, USA . He has always had a passion for helping and supporting underserved communities. He enjoys coaching and motivating the youth through sports and education, raising funds to support various charitable foundations close to his heart and always looking for ways to help grow VMF worldwide.
Michael K. Darkwah

Michael has been with us since our founding, He is an Architect/Facilities Manager working with an International organization in Accra . Michael is passionate about social inclusion and his aspiration is reaching out to the underprivileged in marginalised communities while creating opportunities for all. He enjoys traveling and exploration of unfamiliar territories.
Emma Roebuck-Smythe

Emma lives in Sheffield, England. She is a Personal assistant for Local Government , and also works for Adult Social Care in Sheffield. Emma is a school Governor for a local primary school and owner of Shanti Holistic Therapies. Emma's passion is yoga, travelling, holistic therapy, helping others, soul nourishment, meditation and famiy. Emma hopes to reach out and touch the lives of others by the work VMF do. Having a positive impact and making a difference to their experience of life and helping to provide those necessities in their world.

Felix is a medical laboratory scientist who lives in Accra, Ghana. He loves anything maths , writing, acting and singing. Felix's aspiration is to touch lives together with VMF through our work so we will be recognised, and get more help either by collaborating, partnership with others and or sponsorship.Without the help and support of people like Felix, we cannot do the necessary events that he attended in the Western Region.

Kabs as we call him, is an Army Captain in the Ghana Armed Forces and a medical laboratory scientist at the 37 Military hospital. He lives in Accra,Ghana. One of our veteran team members , brings years of experience and skills to the forefront in helping our organization grow and succeed. He enjoys making people smile,reading and writing. Kabs attended several events and we are much grateful for his advise and support.

Amma lives in Accra, Ghana. She is a midwife by profession and loves sports and saving lives . Amma hopes and aspiration for VMF is by helping it and together to give a soul a reason to smile. As a midwife she hopes to help expectant mothers through the foundation and did this recently in supporting our efforts in the Western Region event.

Lady Tundra as she prefers to be called is a caterer , she lives in Accra , Ghana and loves cooking and socialising, her aspiration is to help and continue to support VMF to grow locally and internationally. Tundra is a joy to be around. Tundra has been a massive supporter in preparing catering for the charity events and nothing has been too much for her, she has attended several of our event which we are very grateful.

Ike as he's known, lives in Accra, Ghana. He is an Agronomist and Extentionist by profession, is passionate about agriculture, football and doing charity work. Maame has attended an event in the Eastern and Greater Accra Region, she has seen at first hand what the charity can offer those less fortunate people through her continuous support.

Nana is a UN/GH peacekeeper who is based in Lebanon at the moment. He is passionate about impacting knowledge to all who are open to it and hopes to carry the VMF banner everywhere. However in December of 2018 he attended and supported one of our events in the Eastern Region whilst he was on a break from his peackeeping duties.

Uncle William, as we refer to him, is a recent member, he is a social worker who lives in Winneba, Ghana. He loves serving humanity and hopes to fight for the deprived children in remote communities together with VMF in Ghana and beyond. He attended the free health screening in the Western Region and donated several mosquito nets at this event.
